Rejoicify Perth! Crossroads Live Australia has confirmed that after bringing Wicked the Musical to Sydney, Melbourne, and soon Brisbane — the production’s latest Australian tour is set to conclude at Perth’s Crown Theatre this December. For those keen on getting first dibs for tickets, you should head to the musical’s official website, with plans for tickets to go on-sale in July 2024.
Commenting on the decision to conclude the latest Australian tour with a stop in Perth, Australian co-producer John Frost shared:
I’m thrilled we’re able to bring WICKED to Perth’s wonderful Crown Theatre. WICKED is one of the most lavish musical productions to have ever played in Australia, the full Broadway experience. With the lavish sets and opulent costumes, it’s a feast for the eye and the ear. If you have never seen WICKED, come and see it for the first time and be spellbound. If you have seen it before, I know you’ll want to come back and be enthralled all over again.
The 2024-2025 cast of WICKED is headlined by Queenslander Courtney Monsma as Glinda and Sheridan Adams as Elphaba, the roles which will see them take on the iconic roles of Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West. They will be joined on-stage by a diverse lead cast including Robyn Nevin as Madame Morrible, Todd McKenney as Wizard, Liam Head as Fiyero, Adam Murphy as Dr Dillamond, Shewit Belay as Nessarose, Kurtis Papadinis as Boq, and Zoe Coppinger as the Elphaba Standby. Long before Dorothy dropped in, two other young women meet in the land of Oz. One born with emerald-green skin is smart, fiery, misunderstood and possessing an extraordinary talent. The other is bubbly, blonde, ambitious and exceptionally popular. They become rivals, then friends…until the world decides to call one “good” and the other one “wicked.”
