More Chomping and Waka-Waka-ing Coming to Consoles in May with PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs

Bandai Namco Entertainment has today announced the impending launch of PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs, which seeks to bring a fresh multiplayer experience to PAC-MAN fans across almost all gaming platforms. The game is scheduled for release on 9 May 2024 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam.

This latest instalment in one of gaming’s most iconic and recognisable arcade classics, will feature cross-play across all platforms, and feature 64-player battles across a variety of colourful, interconnected mazes. Players can customise their PAC characters and utilise Power Items that enhance abilities or aid the GHOSTS in tracking down competitors.

PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs focuses on intense, eat-or-be-eaten gameplay where players navigate through mazes to become the last PAC standing. Utilising strategic Power Items, players can gain advantages such as shields and enhanced speed, or hinder other players by empowering the GHOSTS. In other words… Battle Royale but with PAC-MAN.

The game aims to cater to different skill levels through different modes. There is an Elimination Mode featuring arcade-style action, and a Ranked Mode where players compete against others of similar skill to climb the leaderboards. Additionally, a Friend system allows players to join the same match, track each other’s progress, and spectate games.
