The third season of the popular TV anime Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World- has just had its first key visual unveiled by KADOKAWA, featuring main characters Subaru, Beatrice, and Emilia, and hinting at the threats that await them in the Watergate City of Priestella. The event will be accessible to both the on-site audience and global fans, as it will be livestreamed on the KADOKAWA Anime Channel on YouTube, allowing viewers worldwide to tune in for the updates in real-time.
Further details about the third season are set to be announced during a special stage event at AnimeJapan2024. This event, titled the Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World- Season 3 Special Stage, will take place on the AnimeJapan2024 RED Stage on 24 March 2024 (Sunday), Japan Standard Time (JST). It promises to offer fans new information, including a new clip from the upcoming season, and will feature a number of special voice actor guests in attendance, including Yusuke Kobayashi (Subaru Natsuki), Rie Takahashi (Emilia), Satomi Arai (Beatrice), Kohei Amasaki (Otto Suwen), and Nobuhiko Okamoto (Garfiel Tinsel).
In addition to the announcement, a set of specially drawn visuals were released to celebrate the AnimeJapan2024 KADOKAWA booth’s exhibition. These visuals showcase Emilia, Ram, and Rem donning KADOKAWA ANIME STUDIO guide uniforms, with merchandise based on these illustrations slated for sale at the event.

A year has passed since the liberation of the “sanctuary”, where Subaru Natsuki defeated Elsa and fulfilled his contract with Beatrice in the battle against the Great Rabbits.
Emilia’s camp was united as they faced the royal election, and Subaru Natsuki was living a fulfilling life, but the peace and quiet came to an end with a single letter delivered by a messenger.
The letter was from Anastasia, one of the candidates for the royal selection, to invite Emilia to the Watergate City of Priestella, one of the five largest cities in Lugunica.
Accepting the invitation, Subaru and his party set off for Priestella, where a variety of reunions awaited them.
One unexpected, one unintended, and one to come.
The stirrings of malice writhing beneath the surface of the water and an unprecedented crisis loom over them.
Once again, the boy faces a cruel fate.
