Announcing a new project with a new youth-friendly IP for release in 2024, Outright Games has unveiled plans for a new video game based on the pre-school animated series, PJ Masks: Mighty Alliance. The announcement comes in collaboration with Hasbro, and will be released on a range of consoles and the PC in ‘Early 2024’.
This latest venture marks the second collaboration between Outright Games and eOne, Hasbro’s global entertainment studio, in creating a PJ Masks-themed game. The first collaboration resulted in the 2021 release of PJ Masks: Heroes of the Night, a side-scrolling action-adventure game. In this game, players could immerse themselves in the roles of the night-time heroes Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko, embarking on quests across the city and even into the solar system to thwart their adversaries.
The upcoming PJ Masks: Mighty Alliance game promises to introduce new playable characters from the series, allowing young fans to experience fresh adventures with their favourite heroes. Expect to hear more about what the game actually entails in the near future.
Stephanie Malham, COO at Outright Games, expressed excitement about the new project, stating:
We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with Hasbro and return to the colourful world of PJ Masks in a brand new and original video game. This brand provides a wonderful opportunity to create a dynamic and fun game and we’re hugely excited to use our expertise to create a fully-accessible game for the very youngest players.
PJ Masks first captured the imaginations of young audiences when it premiered on Disney Junior in 2015. The show follows the escapades of the PJ Masks, a trio of ordinary children who transform into masked superheroes at night. The 2023 continuation series, PJ Masks: Mighty Alliance, continues the narrative of Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko while introducing new diverse hero characters such as Newton Star, An Yu, Ice Cub, Bastet, Lilyfay, and Armadylan.
