Starfield Launch Experience Being Held at Sydney Harbour Wednesday Week

Little more than a week out from their official worldwide release of Starfield, Bethesda Australia & New Zealand (Aka. Bethesda ANZ) has announced they will be hosting a special live event. Set to take place at Sydney Harbour, the ‘Starfield Launch Experience’ is scheduled for Wednesday, September 6, aiming to offer fans a look at the game’s “galaxy of adventure to the picturesque Sydney Harbour, where fans can join in the celebration and take their first steps into the highly anticipated world of Starfield”.

The venue for the event is the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay, which will be transformed to resemble interplanetary settings inspired by the game. Attendees can expect to see a variety of themed activities, lighting installations, and cosplayers, among other attractions. The event is designed to serve as an “unforgettable window” into the worlds of Starfield. Sadly (or perhaps fortunately), there does not appear to be any cruise ships docking at the terminal that day, which would have been an amazingly unique experience for anyone stepping foot back on-land.

Tickets for the Starfield Launch Experience are available for free on Eventbrite starting today. The number of spots is limited, making prior booking essential for those who wish to attend and fully enjoy what the event has to offer. There are also a number of rules you have to follow, so be sure to read the event page thoroughly.

Simon Alty, VP & Managing Director of Bethesda APAC, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming event and game, sharing:

Starfield is our biggest launch ever and we can’t wait for fans to experience the incredible universe Bethesda Games Studios have built. Bethesda has a long history of iconic and immersive worlds full of adventure, and Starfield brings that experience to a new frontier. We can’t wait to welcome you into the ‘Starfield Launch Experience’ and celebrate with you all.

Starfield is notably the first new universe developed by the studio in over 25 years, with Bethesda Game Studios focusing much of their attention on their existing IPs including The Elder Scrolls and, more recently, the Fallout series. It will launch on the PC and Xbox Series X|S starting 6 September 2023.
