Following their release of Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE exclusively for the Nintendo Switch last month, Spike Chunsoft is making more content available through paid downloadable content – the first is now available via the Nintendo eShop. Each of these DLC chapters will focus on a different Master Detective present in the game, with this first chapter focusing on Desuhiko Thunderbolt – who makes use of the ‘Disguise’ forensic forte.
Desuhiko Thunderbolt’s chapter is titled ‘Charisma Killed the Cat’, and is available at a standalone price of $5.00 USD, or as part of a four-part season pass for $16.00 USD.
Desuhiko Thunderbolt (Voiced by KENN [JP] and Khoi Dao [EN]) is a young man with a goofball nature who likes hitting on women under the guise of investigation. Desuhiko’s goal is to become famous as a mystery-solving superstar detective. He carries a huge backpack filled with tools necessary for his disguises. Through using his forte, he is able to not only disguise himself through clothes, but also his voice, height and weight – allowing him to match the target of his forte both visually and psychologically.
The next piece of downloadable content, set to release 31 August 2023, will focus in on Fubuki Clockford, allowing players to utilise their ‘Time Leap’ forensic forte to complete her sub-story, titled ‘Fubuki’s Luckiest Day’.
