Over the weekend, the second annual DreamHack Melbourne event took place at Melbourne & Olympic Parks. With the event now over and the numbers in, it has been confirmed that 25,851 gaming fans were in attendance across all three days. This was a slight increase from approximately 21,000 attendees in 2022. This year’s festivities included a sold-out Bring-Your-Own-Computer (BYOC) LAN party with $40,000 in prizes, a $16,000 Cosplay Competition, live music performances, an artist alley, the DreamHack expo showcasing the latest tech and games, content creator meet and greets, and educational panels. Oh, and there was that little thing called eSports.

Movistar Riders emerged as the champions of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ESL Challenger tournament, while The Chiefs secured victory in the League of Legends Circuit Oceania Finals.
