Samsung Releases Newest Range of Data Storage Products in Australia

Now available from the Samsung Online Store and rolling out to retail stores across the country from next month, Samsung has today rolled out its newest range of data storage products. This offering is headlined by the new Portable Solid State Drive (PSSD) T7 Shield, for those after fast storage in environments that may require a bit more protection, in addition to a new line of PRO Endurance microSD cards and USB Type-C Flash Drives.

Available in three colour variants (beige, black and blue) and two size types (1TB and 2TB), the Portable SSD T7 Shield boasts shock resistance of up to 3m, IP65 certification as dust and water resistant, read speeds of 1,050 MB/s and write speeds of 1,000 MB/, and changes to the surface material and software which they claim offers “reduced performance degradation even when files of 2TB are moved at once, and heat generation is minimised”.

Creative professionals and consumers want durable, high-performance and reliable SSDs with the assurance their data can remain safeguarded, even when dropped, exposed to fresh water or used outdoors. The T7 Shield also offers extensive compatibility, enabling consumers to use the new SSD on multiple compatible devices including PC, android smartphones, and game consoles.

While many devices favour full-sized SD cards or other technologies, when it comes to devices like smartphones, surveillance cameras, dashboard cameras, doorbell cameras and more – microSD is still a common option due to their small form factor and versatility. Seeking to provide “improved endurance and performance for reliable continuous capture and playback”, Samsung has today commenced offering the Samsung PRO Endurance MicroSD – which they claim can “deliver up to 16 years (140,160 hours) of continuous recording time to ensure every critical moment is captured”.

32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variants of the Samsung Pro Endurance are now available, priced between $19.95 AUD and $119.95 AUD.

USB Type-C Flash Drive

Featuring Samsung NAND flash and speeds of up to 400MB/s for “fast and reliable performance to scale across multiple use cases”, Samsung’s newest USB Type-C Flash Drive is now available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variants with prices ranging from $24.95 AUD to $80.00 AUD.
