While behind the original planned release window, developer CD PROJEKT RED has today rolled out the native PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of open-world sci-fi action game Cyberpunk 2077. In addition to the next gen update, which is free for those who own PlayStation 4 or Xbox One copy of the game, players across all platforms can look forward to Patch 1.5 – offering many new gameplay opportunities.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Cyberpunk 2077 take advantage of their consoles enhanced capabilities over their last-generation predecessors, including support for ray tracing, 4K dynamic scaling, faster loading times and other technical improvements. Those playing the PlayStation 5 version will also find support for the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback functionalities. You can now download the native version on your chosen console, but if using a disc-version, will be required to still have your PS4/X1 disc in the console while playing.
Curious about Cyberpunk 2077? Until 15 March 2022, players on new-generation consoles and download a free, time-limited trial via the PlayStation Store and Xbox Marketplace.

The Patch 1.5 update also brings a wealth of changes to Night City, which may encourage you to redownload / reinstall the game and give it another whirl. The new content ranges from further performance and stability updates, tweaks to gameplay, new interactions with the game’s main supporting characters, and an overhauled fixer system.
