Playstation Australia have today announced the winner of its national competition to find the number one fan of the recently launched Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, as well as find out who Australia’s Ultimate Playstation All-Stars character is.
Through perseverance and skill, Joshua Whittington from Bella Vista, NSW, came out on top with the most points, fighting it out right until the competition closed at midnight on Sunday and taking out the major prize of a PlayStation Experience Day. Joshua had this to say upon being crowned the ultimate fan:
It’s so great to be named the PlayStation All-Stars number one fan, ever since I was a little kid I’ve been playing PlayStation games so to be a part of something like this is really cool. It’s been a gruelling couple of weeks with a lot of work and strategy going into this competition, but now I’m number one and it’s a great feeling! Thank you to PlayStation Australia for hosting this competition and to everyone else for making this such a fun experience.
Thousands of PlayStation fans in Australia played the Facebook application generating over 78,000 point scoring actions. In a surprise move, Bioshock’s Big Daddy came on top of the leader board, followed by Toro, Sackboy, Sly Cooper, and Kratos. In the game players were able to pick their favourite characters and battle it out in up to 19 daily bouts. Fighters earned points through brains and brawn, with successful moves and comments gaining extra points during battle.
