While the Playstation Home service for the PS3 was once a fairly dull place to hang out and chat with friends, over the last couple of months Sony has really picked up and tried to bring gaming into the service. A couple of games have been released over the service in the last couple of years, with the first free-to-play RPG “Mercia: Fractured Realms” developed by Lockwood Publishing released on PS Home last month.
As they have the last few years, during E3 Sony likes to open an in-game booth with game trailers and live streams running where appropriate. This year, upon completing a number of challenges you were granted access to a special area of the booth which showcased a couple of more niche but still interesting looking games. One of these… was Home Tycoon, the latest Playstation Home game being developed by Hellfire Games which allows you to develop your own city.
With dozen of rewards to earn, action-packed missions to complete and seemingly quite a lot of freedom to work with… this is another free to play game that might encourage some to give the service another change.
