One of the main draw to the characters for Compile Hearts “Hyperdimension Neptunia” series is that they all represent an element of gaming – from the goddesses who represent the major consoles on the market today (and the Sega Neptune), the CPU candidates who represent portable gaming consoles (and the Sega Game Gear) and the other characters who all represent the different gaming companies from Gust (GUST), Compa (Compile Heart) and Nippon-chan (Nippon Ichi Software).
Via their website, Compile Heart have unveiled two new character designs to represent the companies Marvelous AQL and Broccoli.While I am not too sure about any inspiration for Marvelous AQL’s design, I can tell you that Brocolli is based on Puchiko from their well known Di Gi Charat series created by Koge-Donbo. In this series, she serves as the sister of the main character Dejiko – who in turn serves as the mascot for the companies retail chain store Gamers.
