Madman Entertainment is an Australian publisher of English-translated anime to the ANZ region. Boasting a range of no doubt several hundred anime releases individual volume and collection releases over the years, Crispin Freeman and Cassandra Lee have had voice roles in a number of them each. While residing in North America where English dubbing primarily takes place on behalf of the North American publishers, both these two talented voice actors/actresses were Down Under at the recent AVCon event held between the 27th and 29th July at the Adelaide Convention Center.
While taking part in the festivities of the convention, there would have been people who were unable to attend – work-related reasons, education-related reasons, simply living out of state and unable to travel for the time of the event or *Insert another reason here*. Just before the event Madman sought questions from their fans to pose to both Cassandra Lee and Crispin Freeman, resulting in the two below video interviews which I have shared below:

The first interview is on Cassandra Lee. While her roles in games and anime might be a bit smaller than Crispin Freeman’s, she has had several major roles including voicing Ritsu Tainaka in K-ON!, Kyubey in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Totori in Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland, Sophie in Tales of Graces f and to my surprise… Gust in Hyperdimension Neptunia.

The second interview is with easily one of my favorite male voice actors, Crispin Freeman. He has had a diverse voice acting career with numerous anime roles (Including Hideki Motosuwa in Chobits, Shizuo Heiwajima in DuRaRaRa!! and Kyon in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) alongside a moderate game lineup (Balmung in .hack, Albel Nox in Star Ocean 3 and my personal favorite role of his ever…. Overlord Zetta in Makai Kingdom).
