ATLUS USA, a North American publisher and localizer of video game titles have today announced that their Playstation Portable release of Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time is now available for purchase through wherever Playstation Portable games are still sold in North America alongside the Playstation Network (Pending a scheduled update if not already up).
Never before released outside of Japan (where it is known as Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded) and widely considered the best entry in the long-running franchise, this PSP system iteration of the fourth chapter in the Growlanser saga tells of a land — once rich with culture and technology — long ago nearly obliterated by evanescent divine entities. Blending a sprawling 40+ hour narrative with over 40 different possible endings; deep tactical RPG mechanics; the character designs of the legendary Satoshi Urushihara; and a host of enhancements over the original release, Wayfarer of Time continues the proud ATLUS tradition of epic adventures set in breathtaking worlds.
Aram Jabbari | Manager of PR and Sales at Index Digital Media Inc (ATLUS USA)
With the launch of the strategy RPG Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time, an iteration in the popular franchise never before released in North America, ATLUS demonstrates the continuation of its proud heritage of supporting niche titles aimed at the core gamer. We are not intimidated by the challenges of servicing a smaller audience or pursuing more modest success with a given project. Our fans are excited for a new Growlanser title and we are excited to be able to bring one to them.
Expect a review of this game to be released on The Otaku’s Study during the next week or so.
