Making their action RPG dungeon-crawler Minecraft Dungeons available to the broadest possible audience, Xbox Game Studios and Mojang has confirmed the game will be headed to Steam starting 22 September 2021. This release coincides with the release of the game’s Ultimate Edition, comprising of the original base game and all six DLCs.
The standard edition will be available for $19.99 USD or local equivalent, while the Ultimate Edition is $20 dearer at $39.99 USD. However, purchasing the Ultimate Edition via Steam will unlock bonus content including the full soundtrack and hi-res digital artwork of each setting.
With the release of Minecraft Dungeons’ Ultimate Edition, Xbox Game Studios has confirmed that the Hero Edition, Hero Pass, and Season Pass will discontinue from digital sales from August 31 and will be available in retail stores until stock runs out. But with old content being removed, new physical content will also be available. From 26 October 2021, a physical edition of the Ultimate Edition will be available from select retail stores.
