While we are hearing about more and more performing arts and entertainment events being postponed even into 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Brisbane Festival has today announced that their 2020 festivities will be going ahead from 4 September until 26 September.
Brisbane Festival is one of the city’s most significant arts and cultural annual events, involving those from numerous cultural and entertainment backgrounds for several weeks of fun, festivities and celebrations. More information about what form this festival takes is due to be announced on 28 July 2020, when the full program is announced.
At the moment, the only event listed on the Brisbane Festival website is “A Concert At Yours?”. This invites those residing on a cul-de-sac in the Brisbane City council area to nominate their street for a “once-in-a-lifetime exclusive experience”, where they will rock up with “some of Brisbane’s biggest names in music and perform in your ‘hood”.
