Given the circumstances, video game releases being delayed come as little surprise given we have seen everything on the spectrum from surprise early releases (in Australia) to significant delays. Sony Interactive Entertainment is the latest publisher to confirm that exclusives in development for the PlayStation 4 will be held back a little bit.
In an announcement on the official PlayStation Blog, it was confirmed that Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II will now be arriving on store shelves from 19 June 2020, while Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima will launch on 17 July 2020. The delays of both games are fortunately not excessive, so pending any major incidents, I wouldn’t expect any further delays.
I want to personally congratulate and thank both the teams at Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch Productions on their achievements, as we know it’s not an easy feat to reach the finish line under these circumstances. Both teams have worked hard to deliver world-class experiences, and we can’t wait to see what you think of them when they release in just a few short months.
