With the Uncharted series being one of the icons of the PlayStation 3 era of gaming, it doesn’t surprise me that many would have wanted to see how Nathan Drake’s adventure concludes in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End on the PlayStation 4. The question is… just how many people decided to immediately dive into Drake’s quest?
Sony Interactive Entertainment have confirmed that the cumulative worldwide sales of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, during the game’s launch week (Up until May 16th 2016), exceeded 2.7 million units. This total is based on worldwide sell through for both Blu-ray Disc sell-through quantities and digital sales.
The following statement has been made by Shawn Layden, Chairman of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios:
Thank you to the team at Naughty Dog for delivering Uncharted 4, a stunning experience that sets a new bar for interactive entertainment. We are thrilled so many gamers have taken this journey with Nathan Drake and look forward to continuing to deliver epic gaming experiences available only on PlayStation.
Developed by Naughty Dog, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is now available exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
