Degica and IXTL recently launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to bring the ‘Muv-Luv’ visual novel trilogy to international markets. Within 24 hours, the initial and quite ambitious pledge goal of $250,000 was surpassed, with the total continuing to grow.

One of their initial stretch goals was for the trilogy to be released on both the PlayStation Vita and Android platforms in addition to the initial PC release. With $500,000 to unlock this stretch goal, they were asking for double the initial goal to make this happen. The community has pulled through, and with 30 days still to go, have surpassed the goal with $543,054 currently raised. This means that unless something changes between now and launch, visual novel fans will have a choice of platforms for Muv-Luv. Anyone who pledged $150 or above will be able to “choose one port digital copy for free”.

This English localised release will include the most up-to-date HD graphics available, with assets sourced from not only the newer PS3 remakes but brand new updated content directly from âge-soft. It will also feature an upgraded engine to support newer OS’s and an updated user interface.
