Ubisoft Showcases Trio of Titles During PC Gaming Show 2025

Ubisoft used the stage at the recent PC Gaming Show to spotlight three of its upcoming titles: Anno 117: Pax Romana, The Rogue Prince of Persia, and Morbid Metal. Each game was presented with new trailers and gameplay insights, offering a closer look at what players can expect across three different genres: city-building, action-platforming, and combat-focused roguelites.

Anno 117: Pax Romana -Official Cinematic Date Release Trailer

Leading the announcements was Anno 117: Pax Romana, the latest entry in Ubisoft Mainz’s long-running city-building franchise. Scheduled for release on 13 November 2025, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Connect. A new cinematic trailer introduced the Roman Empire-themed title with a theatrical flair, portraying statues of Rome breaking into song—an unusual yet striking way to reflect on the legacy players may leave behind as governors of vast territories.

Set during the height of Roman civilisation, players assume the role of a newly appointed governor tasked with overseeing and expanding multiple provinces. Locations range from the central region of Latium to the distant and untamed wetlands of Albion. Ubisoft has described this as the most ambitious title in the Anno series to date.

PC Gaming Show Trailer - The Rogue Prince of Persia

The Rogue Prince of Persia, developed by Evil Empire, also made an appearance, marking its first anniversary in Steam Early Access. The 2D action-platforming roguelite has undergone significant development since its initial launch, shaped heavily by player feedback. Now approaching its full version 1.0 release in August 2025, the game follows the Prince of Ctesiphon on a quest to protect his people from an invasion by the mystically inclined Huns. With each run, players will experiment with new builds, navigate shifting narratives, and explore the Prince’s personal growth as he strives to redeem himself and earn his family’s trust.

Morbid Metal - Gameplay Trailer - PC Gaming Show

The third title showcased was Morbid Metal, a stylised hack-and-slash roguelite from developer Screen Juice. Set across semi-procedurally generated levels, the game features real-time character swapping mechanics that allow players to shift between multiple fighters, each with distinct abilities and playstyles. The environments span a variety of biomes, from futuristic wastelands to overgrown ruins, offering dynamic combat scenarios against hordes of enemies and bosses.
