After introducing version 0.2.0 of its early access life simulation game inZOI last week – which brought with it a new Modkit – KRAFTON has released a follow-up hotfix to address several issues and improve overall usability for creators using the tool.
The hotfix was deployed today, and primarily targets bugs that were affecting the functionality of the Modkit. According to KRAFTON, these fixes include resolving issues where the official ModKit sample project could not be packaged and where the initial click on popups in the Build workspace panel failed to respond when creating Material Instances.
Other corrections focus on file handling and UI interactions, such as ensuring imported files now apply immediately in the Skeletal Mesh parameter interface, and resolving a malfunction with the “Open Mod String Table” button in the Data Editor.
Beyond bug fixes, several usability improvements have also been made. These include:
- Limiting source project extraction to prevent file exports into the [inZOIModKit/Mods] directory, a known cause of errors.
- Setting “Documents” as the default starting location in the local path selection dialog.
- Updating the terminology in the Mod Wizard by renaming the “Open Drag & Drop Tool” to “Open Resource Import Tool”.
- Removing the non-functional “Restore Mesh” button from the Outfit Mod Wizard.
The hotfix follows KRAFTON’s broader push to support user-generated content and improve the creative tools available to players in inZOI.
