Psychological survival horror RPG Look Outside, developed by Francis Coulombe and published by Devolver Digital, has recently received a significant update — introducing new content and gameplay improvements. Version 1.5 is now available as a free download for all existing players on Steam.
This update builds on the game’s atmosphere, expanding the already eerie apartment building with fresh horrors and enhanced mechanics. Among the key additions is a major overhaul to the flooded basement area, now featuring additional threats and characters that can be fought, or else conversed with in unsettling ways. Players will also encounter new visitors at their home base, some of which offer unexpected variations on previous interactions.
Enhancements to the crafting system form another core part of the update. New materials can now be collected and used to create more potent healing items, increasing players’ chances of surviving the night. Alongside new content, update 1.5 delivers several quality-of-life improvements, including gameplay balancing, extended dialogue options, expanded player choices, bug fixes, and additional secrets hidden within the building’s darkened corridors.
