Ubisoft has launched a new crossover event in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, introducing content from Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight. The collaboration brings a dark, supernatural twist to feudal Japan that probably hampers the real, with a free quest now available to all players.
Sure this may hamper some of the realness of the Assassin’s Creed Shadows experience, but who knows if in the Assassin’s Creed universe, the Animus wouldn’t have a corporate tie-in events?
Set in the region of Harima, the event begins as mysterious disappearances plague a local village. Naoe, one of the game’s protagonists, begins investigating the threat, which grows increasingly ominous. Once players unlock Yasuke, they gain access to the crossover quest, which features new mechanics and an encounter with an otherworldly adversary.
Completing the event grants players a collection of themed rewards. These include cosmetic items inspired by Dead by Daylight, such as outfits, weapons, and trinkets, allowing for further customisation of their Assassin characters. The crossover also introduces Maurice – a horse drawn from Dead by Daylight lore – as a mount option.
The quest is available starting today as part of Ubisoft’s ongoing support for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, with no additional purchase required.
