FUBUKI ~zero in on Holoearth~, a pixelated action platformer inspired by the Hololive virtual entertainment franchise, has officially launched on PC via Steam. Developed by Peposoft and published by Phoenixx Inc., the game is priced at $13.99 USD or local equivalent, with a 15% launch discount available until 10.00am on Wednesday, 26 April 2025.
Set in a pixel-style version of Holoearth, the game places players in the role of Shirakami Fubuki, a fox-eared streamer, who finds herself interrupted mid-livestream by mysterious inter-dimensional portals appearing across her town. These rifts unleash a demonic invasion, threatening the balance of the multiverse.
Players will explore the Japan-inspired land of Yamato, utilising Fubuki’s magical sword Murasamemaru, a range of special skills, and summoned allies to battle the invading forces. The gameplay features a mix of ground and aerial combat, wall-climbing mechanics, and traversal through varied environments such as a futuristic cityscape and a vibrant casino.
Throughout the adventure, players can collect tea leaves to trade for items at Mizore’s shop and gather “Oruyanke” minions—bamboo shoot companions resembling Fubuki—for combat assistance. Additionally, they can team up with Hatotaurus, the mascot of fellow Hololive member Ookami Mio. Corrupted Hololive characters can be purified and added to the arsenal, unlocking new weapons like Houshou Marine’s pirate-themed firearm.
