Visions of Mana Releases, Marking First Mainline Release in 15 Years

Visions of Mana, the latest instalment in the long-running Mana series, has been released by Square Enix for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Microsoft Store and Steam. This marks the first mainline entry in the series in over 15 years, aspiring to bring fans back to the series’ action-RPG roots.

Narratively, Visions of Mana introduces players to Val, a newly appointed soul guard, who embarks on a journey to the Tree of Mana with his childhood friend Hinna, the Alm of Fire, to rejuvenate the mana flow. However as one would expect, a grand adventure follows from there.

Masaru Oyamada, Mana Series Producer, expressed his enthusiasm for the release, sharing:

It is so exciting to bring players a new mainline entry in the Mana series after 15 years. We hope fans are as excited to return to the world of Mana as we are. We put so much work into making this new entry feel like a return home for existing fans while welcoming new players into the series. As you feel the world of Mana teeming with the breath of the elemental spirits, we hope that you’ll bear witness to the story that awaits Val and his friends on their journey.

To allow players a taste of the new adventure before committing to the full experience, Square Enix has made a free demo of Visions of Mana available on all supported platforms via their respective digital storefronts. Players who complete the demo and purchase the full game will receive three weapons for Val: the Gladius, Falx, and Horn Lance. These will become accessible by progressing to Chapter 1, where Val becomes playable.
