When Persona 3 FES first released for the PlayStation 2, an enhanced re-release of the original game which would define the Persona series going forward, it not only included an updated base game, but also an epilogue chapter titled The Answer, offering a scaled down new experience which still offered a solid 20 hours of gameplay. While later spin-off games in the series set this chapter as canonical – it was left off from Persona 3 Portable, and at launch, Persona 3 Reload when it launched earlier this year. But as of this week, as part of the game’s season pass, Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis now offers the full ‘Answer Arc’, with improvements exclusive to Reload incorporated into it.
While Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis has its own opening cinematic and musical backing, to mark the DLC’s release, ATLUS has remade the original opening for Persona 3 FES – featuring the updated animated cutscenes and in-game scenes featured in it. You can watch the full “Special Video” above. While the Persona 3 FES opening pales in comparison to the mainline releases, mainly due to mostly being trailer like in style, the song – literally titled ‘P3 FES’ always hits, and it is very, very nostalgic.
Persona 3 Reload is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis is only available via the game’s Season Pass, which also includes costume and BGM DLC.
