After multiple waves of closed beta testing, HoYoverse have today launched their third free-to-play crossplatform 3D RPG titled Zenless Zone Zero. Following the open-world fantasy action-adventures of Genshin Impact and the Sci-Fi Turn-based RPG mechanics found in Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero is set to shake things up with an experience they pitch as an ‘Urban Fantasy ARPG’. The game is now available to download for the PC, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android platforms around the world.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, players of Zenless Zone Zero assume the role of a “Proxy” and explore menacing Hollows, battle enemies, complete commissions, and unravel mysteries behind the last remaining metropolis New Eridu, through the eyes of the dual-protagonists and their growing assortment of allies.
Like HoYoverse’s other games, Zenless Zone Zero is free-to-play but is supported through a cash shop, specifically through gacha pulls to unlock many of the game’s 4-star and 5-star characters, and more. Each version is expected to have two banner cycles covering half an update window, the first being the attack-oriented ice-element user, Ellen Joe, featured in the above preview.
