During their Capcom Showcase event earlier today, the company unveiled that work is underway on Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, a new chapter in a series of games that follows on from the memorable Okami and SHINSEKAI: Into the Depths. In development for the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC, the game once again draws from Japanese folklore and mythology, and seeks to combine strategy and action elements as players explore an intricately artistic world..
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is set on a holy mountain, inhabited by villagers who are caught in a conflict between the spirit realm and the mortal world. The mountain has been invaded by sinister creatures known as the Seethe, which are attracted to the corruption that has spread among the villagers. To rid the land of the Seethe and purify the mountain, the Spirit Stone Maiden must perform a cleansing ritual. However, she needs a guide to pave the way for her.
