HoYoverse has officially announced the release of Genshin Impact’s Version 3.7: Duel! The Summoners’ Summit” which is set to arrive on 24 May 2023. The anticipated update is set to include the “King of Invokations Grand Prix” main event, a fresh set of over 60 TCG cards, and the introduction of the new playable four-star character, Kirara. Interestingly this will be the first update in a while not to feature a new 5-star character.
The “King of Invokations Grand Prix,” a prominent international TCG tournament in Teyvat, is expected to draw numerous attendees including card players, tourists, and even a renown journalist named Charlotte from Fontaine. Charlotte, who writes for the well-known newspaper, The Steambird, will cover the tournament while also investigating a peculiar case on-site. Players have the opportunity to join her, and engage with characters from various nations throughout the event storyline. Parallel to this, the Adventurers’ Guild has curated events for all, irrespective of their interest in TCG. Activities such as the “Zero Hour Invokation” tournament and mini-games “Evermotion Mechanical Painting” and “Heart of the Dice” that integrate elements of Genius Invokation TCG are available. The “A Tour of Wonders” event is also open for those who prefer a more relaxed gameplay experience.
Alongside these events, a series of trials will be introduced to challenge players’ combat techniques and imagination. In “Feast of the Departed Warriors,” players will have to battle against three formidable foes. “Fayz Trails: Hypothesis” will see players fight in battles where time is frozen, and “Divine Ingenuity: Collector’s Chapter” will allow players to share their innovative custom Domains.
The update will also bring notable changes to Genius Invokation TCG, including over 60 new cards and a new PvP and PvE mode. The TCG collection will expand to include Character Cards of all four Archons, along with a more extensive selection of characters, monsters, weapons, and artifacts. In the PvP mode “Arena of Champions,” winners will need to achieve a total of five wins, while three losses will necessitate a fresh start. The PvE mode “The Forge Realm’s Temper” will allow players to select their difficulty level and additional conditions to score extra points.
The update will also introduce the new four-star Dendro sword user, Kirara. Kirara, a nekomata from Inazuma, works as a courier and is also a transformation master. She strikes with her claws and youkai powers, creating a Dendro shield with her Elemental Skill or transforming into an “Urgent Neko Parcel” for quick movement and Dendro damage. In addition, V3.7 Event Wishes will include Kirara’s debut and reruns of Yoimiya and Yae Miko in the first half, with reruns of Kaedehara Kazuha and Alhaitham in the latter half. If you are like me and early await the opportunity to add Kaedehara Kazuha to your party, now is a good time to do so. Those awaiting Eula will have to wait at least another update…
Finally, the Version 3.7 Special Program has provided a sneak peek of the upcoming nation of Fontaine, with a preview video below:
