Not For Broadcast Now Broadcasting Live On Consoles, DLC / VR Edition Now Available

After finishing development on the main PC build of Not for Broadcast last year, the development team NotGames and tinybuild could not say goodbye to their satirical propaganda sim just yet, and have continued development over the last year – bringing with them support for new consoles, brand new DLC and a few other features that may see players coming back to listen to the tale of Mr. Bear once more.

Get ready to tune into National Nightly News for the first time or again, with Not for Broadcast now available to purchase on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. This version includes the full original game, including the 3x three episode arcs, and bonus chapters which were released due to delayed caused by the pandemic.

Already got Not for Broadcast in your Steam library? New ‘Live & Spooky’ DLC is now available to purchase, and is the first of three additional chapters to be released as part of the game’s Season Pass, which will be rolled out over the coming months. In this arc, you will be in the recording room, directing the “Live & Spooky” paranormal investigation team around a derelict film studio deep underneath Channel One. Frame the shots, capture the action and help keep viewers on the edge of their seats with some TV magic. After all, these ghost shows are all just a hoax… right? Plus, we also get more of the news-anchor Patrick Bannon… which is always a plus!

In one final roll-out, Not for Broadcast now also provides VR support for Meta Quest 2/Pro headsets and Steam VR, and is also available as a separate purchase. However, despite the game being now available on the PlayStation 5, there is no word on any future PlayStation VR2 support, which would be a real shame.

Not for Broadcast is now available on the Xbox Marketplace and PlayStation Store, priced at $24.99 USD for the base game and $39.99 USD for the base game + season pass. Regardless of the option chosen, you will be given the new Live & Spooky DLC with your purchase. Not For Broadcast VR is also available separately on Steam and the Meta Quest storefronts, priced at $36.50 AUD or local equivalent.
