A bit different from their recent assortment of “AAA” games they have published, Square Enix has this weekend published PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo, a single-player supernatural mystery-adventure game, on the Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS and Android platforms.

Told through a 2D visual novel style of gameplay and artwork, PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is set during the Showa Period (1926-89) in Tokyo’s Sumida City, Hondo. The game consists of ghost stories centring around several protagonists who possess the “power of curses”.

Playing from the viewpoint of a number of cursed characters, players can investigate the mysteries of Honjo. During the day players will explore mysterious areas of the city, solve puzzles, and find new clues to help them unravel the mysteries behind these seven deadly curses.

But come nightfall, they’ll hunt or be hunted by other curse bearers. With no choice but to master control of their own powers, they must do so while avoiding the predations of those held by others during this supernatural ideal.

PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is now available on the Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS and Android platforms.
