Boasting “the largest roster in a NAURO game”, Bandai Namco Entertainment has confirmed plans to release the next instalment in the Ultimate Ninja STORM series, NARUTO x BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS this year. Being released to commemorate the anime series’ 20th anniversary, this game will be released on a wide range of platforms including the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC. This will be the first in the fighting game series to be released on consoles since 2016’s Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.
In addition to more than a half-decade of game development ingenuity, NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS will feature many familiar faces, including new characters such as Ashura and Indra Otsutsuki. Furthermore, the company shared that the game will feature “ccrisp graphics in the vein of the anime along with dynamic battles with support for up to 60 fps”, the latter of which on PS5, XSX and PC.
While story details have yet to be shared, it was also confirmed NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS will offer both selected scenes from the franchise’s main story, and also an original story.
