The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie To Receive VR Mode on PC

When Nippon Ichi Software America release the next game in Falcom’s Trails RPG series, Trails Into Reverie, next year, they will be bringing a virtual reality experience in-tow. The base release will include a special scenario titled ‘Beachside Vay-Cay’, which can be experienced either in non-VR mode, or on the PlayStation 4 / PC, in virtual reality. This free scenario, along with additional ‘SSS Summer Splash’ paid downloadable content will take the form of supplemental content containing bonding events and minigames that take full advantage of virtual reality functionality.

According to NIS America, due to “logistical difficulties”, they are unable to offer the VR experience on the PlayStation 5. Instead, they have noted that they have “focused [their] efforts to bring this support to PC in order to bring the VR experience to a wider audience supporting various VR headsets”.

While obvious that the PlayStation 4 will exclusively support the PlayStation VR headset, NIS America intend to share more information on supported PC devices at a later date.
