Ubisoft Revise Release Date of Skull and Bones to March 2023

Originally planned for release on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna and Windows PC platforms in the earlier days of next month, Ubisoft has confirmed a prolonged delay for their upcoming open-world naval-adventure game Skull and Bones.

According to the Ubisoft team:

While the game development is finished at this stage, the extra time will be used to further polish and balance the experience using players’ feedback from our Technical tests and Insider Program which happened over the past two weeks. This is the right decision both for our players and for the long-term success of the game as March 9, 2023 provides for a suitable release window for this very unique new brand.

The delay will now see the game released on 9 March 2023 on the same platform, with plans to offer an open beta test ahead of the worldwide launch to, as they put it, “ensure players get a firsthand look at the dangerous world of Skull and Bones”.
