PlayStation Plus Essential Monthly Games for September 2022 Confirmed

Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation team has confirmed the trio of games that all subscribers of the PlayStation Plus service (Essential, Extra and Deluxe) will be able to add to their PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 game libraries starting 6 September 2022. These three games will be accessible to players indefinitely, as long as they add the games to their library during the month, and maintain an active subscription.

The trio of games embody different genres, from Electronic Arts’ racing game Need for Speed Heat, Arc System Works’ 2.5D fighting game Granblue Fantasy: Versus and the exploration-driven game Toem from developer Something We Made.

Scroll down to read more about each of the three titles:

Need for Speed Heat (PlayStation 4 Native)

Hustle by day and risk it all at night in Need for Speed Heat, a white-knuckle street racer, where the lines of the law fade as the sun starts to set. By day, Palm City hosts the Speedhunter Showdown, a sanctioned competition where you earn Bank to customise and upgrade your high-performance cars. At night, ramp up the intensity in illicit street races that build your reputation, getting you access to bigger races and better parts.

Granblue Fantasy Versus (PlayStation 4 Native)

Legendary fighting game studio Arc System Works brings the Granblue Fantasy universe to PlayStation in an action-packed, head-to-head fighter. Granblue Fantasy: Versus features a colourful cast, each with a unique fighting style. Also includes an RPG mode that features an all-new, original story. Play solo or team up with a friend to fight waves of enemies in thrilling action-RPG combat.

Toem (PlayStation 5 Native)

Set off on a delightful expedition and use your photographic eye to uncover mysteries in this hand-drawn adventure game. Chat with quirky characters, solve their problems by snapping neat photos, and make your way through a relaxing landscape.

Be sure to add all three to your library, even if you are not interested in playing them at this present time, by 3 October 2022.
