When a character is almost at the point where they are ready to be rolled out to players of Genshin Impact via the game’s Gacha “Wish” System, developer HoyoVerse will typically release a character banner with a bit of confirmed information on them. This evening we received two, one for Nahida and the other for Layla – both characters who are expected to be obtainable when Genshin Impact v3.2 launches in approximately early November 2022.
So time to get thinking about how you spend your primogems, and whether you will want to spend now and possibly obtain Nilou or Cyno as your next 5-star character, or save up to potentially have one of these two cuties join your party.
Nahida: Physic of Purity
Lesser Lord Kusanali
Lesser Lord Kusanali dwelt deep in the Sanctuary of Surasthana. She had never really been in the limelight, nor had she even been mentioned much.
Nahida, as the archon of Sumeru, is aligned with the newly released Dendro element. Her constellation is also known as Sapientia Oromasdis.
Layla: Fantastical Evening
Star Half-Awake, Half-Asleep, All Incredulous
A Rtawahist student, Layla specializes in Theoretical Astrology and draws star charts tirelessly in order to write her thesis.
Having not yet appeared in the story as of v3.0, Layla is a new unseen character aligned with the Cryo (Ice) element and with the Luscinia constellation.
Although nothing has been formally announced, both Nahida and Layla are expected to appear has 5-star characters in Genshin Impact v3.2 later this year.
Genshin Impact is being developed by Hoyoverse (Formerly MiHoYo) as a mostly single-player (with online multiplayer elements) open-world adventure game reminiscent of the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wilds, albeit having deviated into many of its own individual ideas and concepts. The game is available as a free download on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android platforms – and is supported via premium currencies and a wish “gacha” system.
