Genshin Impact Version 3.1: King Deshret and the Three Magi Launching 28 September

Already explored the new region of Sumeru in Genshin Impact as much as you can and ready for more adventures in the dendro-aligned nation of forestry and scholarship? Developer Hoyoverse has confirmed Genshin Impact Version 3.1: King Deshret and the Three Magi will be available on Asian, North American and European game servers starting 28 September 2022.

Genshin Impact Version 3.1: King Deshret and the Three Magi will continue the events in Sumeru, taking players to the new desert themed area where new allies, enemies, happenings and battles lie in wait. But the events are not just happening in Sumeru, with Weinlesefest in Mondstadt happening once again, bringing with it new stories, events, mini-games and a range of rewards.

Meanwhile, three Sumeru characters will be available to be recruited as reliable allies in players’ teams. After her debut as a dancer, Nilou will be joining as a five-star Hydro playable character, combining her elegant dance moves with swordsmanship. The trustworthy General Mahamatra Cyno is also ready for combat as a five-star Electro polearm wielder. He’s also a fan of Genius Invokation, a brand-new Trading Card Game planned to be added in Genshin Impact v3.3.

Candace, the half-blood descendant of King Deshret, will debut as the guardian of the Desertfolk and Aaru Village. Wielding her Hydro Vision and a polearm, she will be available as a four-star character in the Event Wishes with Cyno and Venti’s rerun during the first half of Version 3.1. Nilou and Albedo’s rerun will follow in the latter half of the update. Nilou and Albedo’s rerun will follow in the latter half of the update.

Far from the desert, in Mondstadt, the annual Weinlesefest will be a time to brew and taste the wine of the year with the Anemo Archon. Players will have a chance to reunite with friends in Mondstadt and help Razor uncover more about his past. Weinlesefest also features a major limited-time seasonal event and four different mini-games. Players can redeem various rewards, including a new four-star weapon, Missive Windspear, along with its exclusive refinement materials, by obtaining Festive Fever through mini-games.

As with every update, there will be a range of in-game time-limited events to give you the ability to obtain some goodies, including the all-valuable Primogems for the game’s Wish gacha system. The “Wind Chaser” event will challenge participants to manage the energy of the wind in a special Domain. In another event, “Star-Seeker’s Sojourn,” you will help a young girl fulfill her wish in searching for the Future Stars. Finally, you will be rewarded in the Spiral Abyss if you complete Floor 4, Chamber 3, with the opportunity to recruit Collei for free.

Additionally, the daily login event is back, with up to Intertwined Fate ×10 and other items to be claimed. A total of Primogems ×1,600, Fragile Resin ×4, and two unique gadgets, “Jumpy Dumpty Party Popper” and “Cloud Retainer’s Damasked Device,” will be delivered to you via in-game mail.

On the technical side of things, Genshin Impact v3.1 will introduce a number of new features. This includes dynamic terrain deformation, a solution to better simulate the realistic trails on the sand, and improvements to DualSense Controller support to allow vibration feedback when characters cast their Elemental Burst.

Genshin Impact is being developed by Hoyoverse (Formerly MiHoYo) as a mostly single-player (with online multiplayer elements) open-world adventure game reminiscent of the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wilds, albeit having deviated into many of its own individual ideas and concepts. The game is available as a free download on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android platforms – and is supported via premium currencies and a wish “gacha” system.
