Weeklong Final Fantasy XIV Livestream Takes Viewers to Mogchute Farm

On 23 August 2022, Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.2 will launch, bringing with it one of Final Fantasy XIV Endwalkers anticipated features – Island Sanctuary. This is set to be casual solo content that is pitched as allowing “allow players to build and customise their own personal farm in-game on an island paradise abundant with wildlife, by gathering materials, building facilities, caring for creatures, and more, all without the need for prior crafting or gathering experience”.

But how are you meant to know what farm life is like without getting some experience in a real world farm? As part of a promotion in the week leading to launch, from today until 1pm BST on 19 August 2022, players will be able to tune in to the official Final Fantasy XIV Twitch Channel and catch a live feed of “Mogchute Farm”.

According to Square Enix:

The livestream will star several farmyard favorites over multiple days, including pigs, goats and chickens, with several other surprises as the week progresses. Viewers can follow their daily routines of feeds, frolics, and festivities, and will be invited to vote on what the animals will be fed on stream. Feeds will take place at the below times each day, with other activities planned in-between:

  • 9:15am – 9:30am BST
  • 4:00pm – 4:15pm BST

The stream is being hosted by Mudchute Farm in London, described as “a registered charity with care for the environment at the heart of their mission. Founded in 1977, Mudchute Farm is set in 32 acres of green space, which are open to the public and offer views across London”. If you need something to just mindlessly watch or feel like watching what life is like on a farm, perhaps consider watching HERE.
