Romancing SaGa – Mistrel Song – Remastered Confirmed as In-Development

Originally released in Japan in 1992, the fourth instalment in the Romancing SaGa series – Romancing SaGa – Mistrel Song is being remastered and brought across to the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC (via Steam), iOS and Android platforms by Square Enix later this year. A “winter” (NH) and “summer” (SH) release window has been shared at this point in time, but expect to receive more clarification in the months leading to release.

According to Square Enix, Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered will feature a host of exciting new improvements and additions, including remastered graphics, new quality of life features to improve playability, and new gameplay features.

Furthermore, fans of the series have been told to “expect the “Glimmer” and “Combo” systems from previous games, iconic beautifully illustrated designs, and a whimsical soundtrack by Composer Kenji Ito”.

In Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered, players will follow the exploits of one of eight protagonists, each with their own storyline and goal, and create their own unique adventure. Through the games “Free-Form Scenario” system, players should expect that their actions will affect the world around them, and perhaps lead them to very different outcomes.
