While having to undertake a powerwashing job in real life may see you reaching for the phone to hire a handyman without too much thought, PowerWash Simulator has, for the last year, given gamers the chance to experience a simulated version of this chore from the comfort of their own PCs. Publisher Square Enix together with FuturLab have released a special first anniversary update for the game, bringing PowerWash Simulator closer to the big v1.0 release, and introducing three special jobs / levels voted for by the community.
The three new community maps available in-game include the grand Gnome Fountain, a Steam Locomotive, and a magical Mini Golf Course – all of which require a good ol’ washing. All three of these Special Jobs were proposed, selected, and voted for on Discord by the PowerWash community from hundreds of suggestions.
Other inclusions in the update consist of the ability to earn money in Free Play & Special Jobs, a fixed camera view for washing to improve accessibility and help combat motion sickness, and some of the older levels have had a facelift to match the standards of more recent levels.
Developed by FuturLab and published by Square Enix Collective, PowerWash Simulator is an Early Access game available exclusively for the Windows PC via Steam.
