While it is dubious just how canonical this is to the original manga or anime chronology of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid (小林さんちのメイドラゴン), but it turns out that the dragon girls have found themselves all trapped in a cursed computer and need your help to escape. Are you up for the challenge… even if it means experiencing the torment of one of the hardest genres of game…. bullet hell shmup?
Aksys Games has this evening announced they will be bringing the shmup Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Burst Forth!! Choro-gon☆ Breath to the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in North America later this year.
After receiving a cryptic email, Miss Kobayashi and her maids go to Takiya’s house to investigate. There they are mysteriously get sucked into the PC. Players must help them clear stages by banding together and using their wits to defeat the computer.
Using the 3-fold attack system of Long Range, Melee and the unique and deadly Choro-gon Breath, you’ll (hopefully) obliterate the enemy! Combine the power of three with the Tag System by using Tohru, Kanna, and Elma to tackle each stage with Kobayashi’s support. There’s no enemy they can’t defeat*!
As you progress, players can collect 30 unique Memorial Pieces of the friends’ precious daily life, each providing CG Artwork created especially for the game.
Expect to hear more about Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Burst Forth!! Choro-gon☆ Breath in the months leading to its North American launch.
*That says nothing about your ability to defeat the enemies however.
