Final Fantasy XIV’s Annual Christmas Event ‘Starlight Celebration’ Goes Live Next Week

Although a few events traditionally in the Final Fantasy XIV calendar were postponed to dedicate more resources towards the development of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, the annual ‘Starlight Celebration’ Christmas celebrations are still going ahead. Square Enix has confirmed the seasonal event, this year subtitled ‘The Little Yeti That Could’, will run from Thursday 16 December 2021 at 12.00am PST until Friday 31 December 2021 at 6.59am PST.

Once the Starlight Celebration commences, players will be able to see Amh Garanjy at the Min-Khello’s Amphitheatre in Old Gridania, where a special task aways. The event requires players to be only Level 15 to complete it, in other words, pretty much having enabled travel between the game’s three main cities.

While no mounts or outfits are on offer, which is a shame, they are offering two minions (Wind-Up Rudy and Squirrel Emperor) and the interior furnishing item ‘Starlight Mobile’ during the event.

Developed by Square Enix, Final Fantasy XIV is a paid online game supported by a monthly subscription. You can now download it on the PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 – with a trial that offers you the full base game’s content, and all content of the first Heavensward expansion pack.
