While the youngest of the three major video game console brands on the market today, the Xbox family is no longer a teenager – celebrating its 20th Anniversary this month. Microsoft has confirmed that they will be celebrating this event on Tuesday 16 November 2021 at 5.00AM AEDT with a special streamed event via their Youtube, Twitch and Facebook social media channels.
Microsoft has been explicit in confirming that this stream will not feature any new game announcements, and is designed as a “special look back at all the memories [they’ve] shared with the Xbox community over the past two decades”.
The Xbox line of consoles includes the original Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One and most recently, the Xbox Series X|S new generation gaming platform. The Xbox brand also extends into a number of other areas, including Xbox Game Studios which has many of their founded and acquired studios as subsidiaries.
