New Adventures Await Players in Minecraft and Minecraft Dungeons Soon

-

New adventures will be awaiting players of both MineCraft and MineCraft Dungeons in the coming weeks, with Mojang and Microsoft sharing news about both of their games, including a new major update and a collaboration with a film franchise.

On the MineCraft side, a new partnership has been formed with Universal Games and Digital Platforms to offer a DLC pack based on DreamWorks’ How to Train Your Dragon franchise. This content is now available through the Minecraft Store, and will see players meeting familiar characters and exploring their world.

Dragon riders! Grab your shiniest shield and tighten your braids; this is not a drill! We’re about to take off for the island of Berk – and all the islands in the Barbaric Archipelago – because the DreamWorks How to Train Your Dragon DLC is here! There is no time to waste. We all need to pull together to get this blocky world of ours ready for Hiccup, Toothless and all the other beloved Vikings and dragons. The DLC is out now, so nail down everything that could break by the flick of a tail and get rid of anything flammable. Can lava catch on fire? Let’s not take any chances; it has to go.

On the Minecraft Dungeons side… who feels like getting a little wet? Just in time for summer in the Northern Hemisphere, the Hidden Depths DLC will be released on 26 May 2021 alongside some freeLC content.

This won’t be your average day at the beach though. You’ll have to fight a spreading corruption that has reached the darkest depths of the ocean! Hey, it wouldn’t be Minecraft Dungeons if it were easy, right?

Of course, there’s also plenty of free content and updates alongside the DLC release! Not only are there new enchantments, but there is also a brand-new feature called Raid Captains. Raid Captains are friendly tour guides that… wait, that’s not right. They’re super challenging new enemies that will change the way you play the game. That makes a lot more sense. Seek out Raid Captains where they lurk in the hidden corners of the world to add a new level of challenge (and additional treasures) to your missions.
