Smartphone games crossing over with popular Japanese anime or video game franchises is nothing new, with the mobile fantasy battle RPG SINoALICE joining the list of games which have embraced such partnerships.

It has been announced that a worldwide crossover event will shortly be held between SINoALICE and Fuse’s popular light novel and anime franchise That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (転生したらスライムだった件). This first event will fuse SINoALICE’s gothic-themed, twisted-fiction world with a more fantasy-inspired magical world of slimes, goblins and dragons.

This event’s specifics are currently unknown, with publisher Pokelabo Inc. and Square Enix confirming that the collaboration is “coming soon”, with more details around content and launch date to be released at a later date. The only confirmation we have is:

During the collaboration, characters from the TV series will make a special appearance in the world of SINoALICE and take part in a special story scenario.

From the creative mind of Yoko Taro, most known for his work on the NieR and Drakengard video game series, SINoALICE is now available to download on Android via the Google Play Store, and iOS via the App Store. It is a free-to-download game, but is supported by microtransactions – primarily through a gacha system.
