No matter how popular the anime is, when it comes to its video game adaptation, most western publishers will opt to keep only the original Japanese voice cast. But there are those rare exceptions, such as Spike Chunsoft’s upcoming release of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- The Prophecy of the Throne, where they buck that trend.
Spike Chunsoft has this morning confirmed in their new Character Trailer that the anime’s English voice cast will be reprising their roles in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- The Prophecy of the Throne. This will give players access to dual-audio options, allowing you to play the full game with your preferred voice cast. The English dub will not be included on-disc however, and shall instead need to be downloaded as a Day One patch in North America and PAL regions.

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- The Prophecy of the Throne will be released digitally and physically on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, as well as digital-only on the Windows PC from 29 January 2021 in North America and 5 February 2021 in Europe. It was developed by Chime Corporation and published by Spike Chunsoft in international markets.
