CyberPunk 2077 Removed from PlayStation Store – Formal Refund Process Initiated

While there is a lot of praise to be given to CD Projekt RED’s latest open-world first-person action-RPG Cyberpunk 2077, the game has struggled across all platforms with bugs and errors. This is especially true with last-generation consoles, where it becomes more a matter of when rather than if the game will throw up a crash message. In a post recently made by CD Projekt RED, they encouraged players to file for refunds if they found the experience intolerable for now. From today, however, Sony Interactive Entertainment has taken that a step further.

Sony have not only formalised the refund process for those seeking to receive one (provided they purchased a digital copy), but removed the game temporarily from the digital PlayStation Store until further notice. This should not prevent players who do not wish to receive a refund, from redownloading the game if necessary.

SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store.  SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice.

To request a refund, visit the official PlayStation website for your region and submit your information. A refund will be processed once they confirm you purchased a digital copy from them.
