Since Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc was first released in the west many years ago, Nippon Ichi Software America has served as the game’s localiser and publisher. But giving a sense that things will be changing to some degree, it has just been confirmed that over the following months, select releases will no longer be available digitally via the PlayStation Store. These releases are as follows:
Game and Platform | Final Date to Purchase |
---|---|
Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (PS Vita) | 31 August 2020 |
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (PS Vita) | 4 September 2020 |
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (PS Vita) | 4 September 2020 |
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (PS Vita) | 25 September 2020 |
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (PS4) | 25 September 2020 |
No specification has been provided about the fate of these iconic games/visual novels once the final purchase dates pass. However, Spike Chunsoft, the Japanese publisher of the series has in recent months and years been handling the PC, supplementary console and smartphone releases in the series internationally; in addition to managing news around the franchise. Therefore, it is plausible that the games could be released as part of one big collection or released individually again at a later date. Nothing is certain at this time, though.
