Knitting Is Focus of Next The Sims 4 Stuff Pack

For some during these tough times, spending times with their Sims could very well be their best outlet to explore an outside (albeit virtual) world. But for those who like nothing more than the idea of having their sims spending a chilly day in front of the fireplace knitting an array of clothes and decorative pieces, this new Stuff Pack for The Sims 4 may be of interest. Due for release on 28 July 2020 and determined as part of a community vote for a new stuff pack, Electronic Arts has confirmed The Sims 4: Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack is almost ready for launch.

If you somehow couldn’t already tell, the main feature of this stuff pack is knitting. With the new yarn basket item, sims will be able to progressively increase their skills to move from knitting socks and beanies to making kids toys and mailbox cozies. Become talented enough, and you may even be able to form a knitting circle, teaching other sims to knit in the process.

Another new addition to The Sims 4: Nifty Knitting Stuff is something closely aligned with knitting – the rocking chair. These four new rocking chair variants are set to be an excellent place for a sim to chill, knit, nap or read a book. Not only will this give a new reminiscence interaction to help them “explore their mind palace and fondly remember times of fun”, but get a small bonus in their knitting skill.

Knitted so much that your sim’s house is more yarn than anything else? The online store, Plopsy, will be accessible to your sims. This online crafting marketplace allows you to sell anything crafted with your hands from socks and sweaters up to non-yarn related goods such as paintings and woodworking projects. Why do this? Because if you find the right buyer, you will be much better off financially than selling the item in Buy Mode.

It’s been such a joy to craft this project with you, and we can’t wait to see what you and your Sims knit up in-game. It’s almost time to grab your needles and yarn—just two more weeks until you can start dressing your Sims in their own creations!
