[E3 2017] [Announcement] Annual Just Dance Instalment Confirmed for October 2017 Release

Hardly surprising considering its role as an almost guaranteed staple of Ubisoft’s annual video game line-up, Ubisoft have announced ongoing development of Just Dance 2018, and confirmed the game will be available on October 24th 2017 in North America and October 26th 2017 in PAL regions.

In addition to the over three hundred songs currently available via the subscription-based Just Dance Unlimited on-demand streaming service, Ubisoft will be including approximately forty songs on-disc. While the full tracklist is currently unknown, they have indicated a few of the songs and artists featured with the game:

  • Rockabye – Clean Bandit Ft. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie
  • 24K Magic – Bruno Mars
  • Side To Side – Ariana Grande Ft. Nicki Minaj
  • Chantaje – Shakira Ft. Maluma
  • Naughty Girl – Beyoncé
  • The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody) – Bebe Rexha Ft. Lil Wayne
  • Automaton – Jamiroquai
  • Bubble Pop! – HyunA
  • Love Ward – Hatsune Miku
  • Make it Jingle – Big Freedia
  • Daddy Cool – Groove Century

Motion control will once again be captured via the Just Dance Controller App, making the game accessible to those without the additional accessories like cameras. One of the new features in Just Dance 2018 is “HD rumble technology”, which Ubisoft claims has allowed them to “develop interesting Double Rumble choreographies based on this vibration system, which makes the overall Just Dance experience even more immersive“.

Just Dance 2018 will be available on the usual assortment of consoles, including the Nintendo Wii, Wii U and Switch, PlayStation 2 and 4, and Xbox 360 and One. A three month trial of Just Dance Unlimited will be included with every copy of Just Dance 2018, although only on the Switch, Wii U, Xbox One and PS4.
